Product Reviews

Berkley® Lightning Rod™ Trout Combo is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looking for a 7 foot Light Wt. Spinning Rod? Rod is great for throwing 1/8 ounce and under lures a long distance. Good for trout, crappie, sunfish and bluegills. Feels good in your hand. Well made rod at twice the price. A lot of finesse and fish fighting backbone in a light rod. Think of it as a fly rod with spinning rod distance. Only reason I give 4 stars for quality is there are some high end rods with better quality, but you will pay a whole lot more for them. For the price however, this is a great value and the quality and feel is very very good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great rod. Light and strong. Rod is very light an strong. Micro guides are very nice for those long casts. The rod has handled a 30 inch lake trout and lots of yellow perch with out a problem. Quality is great and handles very well. I like it so much, I bought 2 more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great combo, at least It has to be over 20 years since I bought a rod/reel combination. For a lightweight reel with 8 ball bearings and light rod they were made for each other. I put on 4 pound mono line and it cast just as good as my supposedly better rods and reels. I didn't have any problems with it tangling and was using a 1/8 ounce spoon . Since I just took it out to try and was going to release anything I didn't take a scale or measuring tape with me, but I caught several nice trout and didn't feel I was straining either rod or reel.
