Rated 5 out of 5 by BassBuster from Great rod, great price! I purchased my 2 piece 7' medium Heritage rod directly from the Berkley website a month ago, the rod arrived safe and sound. This rod was purchased to be my Northern Pike rod, I've mounted a Shimano GX-125 on it for now but there's a Mitchell Mag-Pro 3000 waiting in the wings. I'm an avid fisherman, I have 3 sons who all love to fish, and as a family we go through a ton of gear annually. It's gotta be 30 years ago I purchased my Lightning Rod, it never failed me until....my youngest son knocked it over and it got caught under my trolling motor. I have had so many rods over the years, very expensive rods, but the Lightning rod maintained it's place as my go-to rod year after year. The Heritage has been used twice, I've caught 9 smallmouth bass - the biggest being 4 pounds - and I hauled in a 7 pound Pike with the rod. At his point in time I'm convinced I have the correct rod for my Northern Ontario fishing trips where big Pike are plentiful - and ANGRY! I'm purchasing a new 6'-6" medium light Lightning rod today at a local joint, paired to my Abu Garcia ORRA S30 it will become my new Smallmouth and Speckled trout rod. My honest opinion is that we fisherman are lucky to have companies like Berkley, Mitchell and Abu Garcia around to keep some sanity in pricing of fishing gear. I always feel that I have the best gear - at a fraction of the cost of some of the ridiculouslt priced stuff. Heading out this weekend to take on some Large mouth, which rod to use???

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jlpd from Very nice rod I just received this 6'6" medium action spinning Rod. I fished with it but once so far and caught a few bass. Great sensitivity and feel. The butt section is a nice length for easy and long casting. Top notch finish on the guides and handle. This is a great rod in this price category.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Jimbob from Good rod Used it this week and it handled the task with no problem . First fish was over 4 lb. The handle was conspicuous with it being stained cork . That was a first time seeing stained cork . Probably hidding flaws & voids .

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mauser from BCH661ML-XF I am glad I bought this rod as it is just what I was looking for. Light and extremely sensitive! The lure weight rating is perfect (1/16oz-5/8oz) as it covers most of what I am fishing with. Took it out this weekend (first use) and was fortunate enough to catch some nice rainbow trout. The rod balances nicely with my PF-1400 that throws 1/4oz nearly a mile. It is now my main use rod.

Rated 5 out of 5 by coyotehunter from Berkley Heritage Spinning Rod I bought 3 of the 6'9" medium light models to replace some higher dollar Fenwick rods that kept breaking on me. They have a great feel and very good sensitivity, I use these for mainly jigging but have also used them on lindy rigs. I have now bought 3 more to give to family members as they like them very well too.
