Rated 1 out of 5 by scottkcoop from First rod I've ever broken Second time out using my 7' shock rod (Med. Heavy) with 4 lb. test mono. Snagged on a piece of debris under the water, light pressure trying to free up the snag, SNAP. Broke right at the guide 3rd or 4th from the tip. Amazed at how fragile this rod was. Loved the sensitivity but if the medium heavy rod breaks before 4lb line, I can't imagine what it would do with a decent sized fish. Very disappointed. Yet to see how Berkley handles this warranty wise...sure hope I don't have to avoid a brand.

Rated 1 out of 5 by coolie17 from cheep parts I have 5 of these rods bought over winter. used only couple so far and only few times. have one that the reel seat is broke. and other one that it is cracked.so im sure its going to happen to the other 3 rods I have too. rod is good other than the cheep clear plastic reel seat on them was worried about that. they need to be made with metal seats like most rods. now that ive had two of them crack already I do not recommend these rods till they fix that problem.

Rated 1 out of 5 by mnfishguy from wanted it to be great plastic threaded collar on the reel seat cracked rendering the rod useless. I tried attaching the reel and had barely got the collar on the foot of the reel and it snapped. I really had high hopes for this rod. An excellent rod rendered useless by a simple cheap part.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Fishdood87 from TERRIBLE ROD I’d do pros and cons but it literally lasted 5 minutes before breaking in half right below the 3rd eyelid. Purchased right before a last minute float and needed a rod, put in the boats and was ready to fish! Snagged a rock, paddled back to get my lure off and it broke. Waste of money and my reel slipped in the plastic seat

Rated 1 out of 5 by John22 from Absolute garbage I bought this rod a month ago and its utterly useless now that the reel seat ring broke. After this I'll never buy another Berkeley rod again. Last years lighting rod lasted 2 months. It snapped reeling in a 2lbs large mouth in a clear pond with no weeds. What happened to the quality of this company.
