Rated 5 out of 5 by A catfish guy from Focused on Catfish Berkley definitely consulted more than a few catfish anglers with some class for these rods. I have the 7ft Medium action, and it’s incredibly light matte finish blank has a very firm backbone. The guides are properly spaced and the thin diameter grips have a great feel, the extra length rear grip allows for great leverage for distance casting. Even the hook keeper is heavy duty! It handles catfish 20lbs and up really well, even 60-80lb blues aren’t over powering the rod. Lighter fish aren’t very fun though, but hey, find bigger fish... all in all, superior quality, with and Alps reel seat the rod would be indistinguishable from a rod 5x expensive

Rated 5 out of 5 by DWade from Best Cat, Tarpon, Striper, Redfish rod anywhere. Bought this for my son for Christmas. I wish I had bought it for myself. I have many expensive light salt and heavy freshwater rods and this one is at the top of the list. The guides are nice slim profile Zirconium with truly heavy duty frames. They do not look like a doughnut as other similar duty rods. Also the blank is very slim with extreme power and the handle is actually made of metal rather than plastic. Handle length is perfect for casting long or choking up when the big one starts pulling. The slim handle and blank make it suitable for casting swim baits or spoons as well as bottom rigs. I ordered the 8 ft and I'm getting ready to order the 7ft and 9ft models. Snook, Redfish, Catfish, Tarpon, Stripers; they're all on the table with this rod.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Boomstick0 from Great rod, well built and great feel The overall feel of this rod is great. I own the 8 ft medium heavy version and it casts incredibly far, but can also cast lighter weights. I took this bass fishing a few times after a couple of rods broke and it actually performed very well, although it can be difficult to tell when you get a bite but I was able to pitch it into heavy cover and always get my line back. The rod is overall quite fast action and feels very strong. I have yet to take it out catfishing but it feels like it's more than up to the task and the construction seems top notch. What I really like about this rod is that it's overall quite light for it's size and it has a great overall feel to it. The biggest downside is that it might be a little bit overpriced, but I liked the overall feel of the rod I let that slide.
