Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best line for spinning reels I have been using Nanofil on my spinning reels for inshore fishing with artificials for about two years. I have it on five of my reels in wts. of 6, 8, and 10lb test. I has performed better than any line I have tried. It casts farther and doesn't get wind knots.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Strength and castability I have seen a lot of controversy over this line, some really good, and some bad comments. I am on my second spool of this line, and I stepped up from 12lb to 17lb, and the hi-vis green. I have learned to tie the Nano-Knot and use it exclusively to tie on my terminal tackle. I just spent a weekend fishing in the Texas bays, and it was incredibly windy. I could cast into the wind with my spinning reel, and my buddies with baitcast reels could not. I caught trout and big redfish all weekend with no line or knot breakage, and this outperformed the rest of the team and their tackle

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great line, when it doesn't snap I bought this line just over two weeks ago, I. have been attempting to use it for crappie and walleye fishing, so im using 8lb line. I've tried it with 1/8th ounce jigs and all different size rapalas and it doesnt matter what i throw or what not i tie, the line snaps either while im casting or if i get the smallest snag. I have no problem with my other line snapping like this. When i am crappie fishing with a bobber and a minno, the line is awesome, it is super sensitive and had very low memory. It could be a gteat, line but needs work. Definitely not worth the $20 i paid for it. It has cost me 50 in rapalas in two weeks

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 1 LB NanoFil line - Ultralight trout hunter I bought my second spool of NanoFil 1 LB line. I progressively made a transition to the lightest line available to increase the challenge of catching the biggest fish on the lightest line. I love this line....it may be a bit expensive ($19.95/150 yards) but its the best light line I have fished with yet! - Flying Coyote, Nampa, Idaho

Rated 5 out of 5 by from x factor This line is unbelievable. Extremely strong, thin diameter and you can feel the lightest bite. There is no better line for jigging and casting cranks for walleyes this line

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great if you don't use knots. Without fail before I fish with a new line I test it on my pull tester to see what the breaking strain it has with various knots as most lines I've found react differently with a given knot, nanofil to my dismay broke on or just below half the stated braking strain of both lines that I tested. The 12 pound would not hold above 6 pounds and the 21pound failed at 10 pounds or below depending on the knot used the albright being the best of all, to be fair to Berkley I tested both lines without a knot and they both broke above the stated braking strain, both lines were new and form a different supplier, so unless I double up on braking strain I for one will stay with fireline for now.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Low line memory but has a tendency to abrade. I bought this line to use on spinning reels. I use this line, bass fishing, to cast light lures with a medium heavy spinning rod. I required a light strength line with low memory for this type of fishing. I would rate this line casting ease above average (in comparison) to the same line strength/weight of monofilament. However, the line has a tendency to abrade rapidly compared to other lines. I have trimmed worn line off reel as the manufacture has recommended and have not broken off this line during while fishing. I feel if the abrasion issue could be resolved this would be and excellent product.
