Gulp!® Pogy is rated out of 5 by 9.
Rated 1 out of 5 by LTS1 from Packaged Wrong! When the tail of this bait works correctly, it is the best flounder bait on the market, by far. However, the company has failed to listen to feedback that the tails are flattened in the bags they are currently packed in. If they would just put them back into the tubs, the problem would be corrected. They could even try the blister packaging. Therefore, do not buy this product in the 8 pack bags, you're throwing your money away. Only about 15% of the product will swim correctly. That makes the bait cost over $5.00 each. I fully expect that the marketing department (who obviously do not fish) will end up discontinuing this bait due to lack of sales; when a simple fix could make this the most popular and best selling saltwater bait they have.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Chad95 from Bad ackaging ruins bait Great baits however as others have mentioned the tails get bent/twisted in the packaging making them useless. Got 3 packs today and out of the 3 bags I have 4 usable baits.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Smaz from Poor quality This is the best saltwater bait I've ever used. However the tails get distorted in the packaging bags, making the bait useless as it will not swim. Wish they would bring back the tubs, the tails had room and stayed perfect. Gets expensive when you have to buy four to get one to fish correctly.

Rated 2 out of 5 by MarcoAngler from A great bait, bad tail This is a great bait, but the tails are twisted in the package and they won't swim properly. Needs to be packaged in a tray, like the shrimp.

Rated 3 out of 5 by YakAngler from Great bait, poor packaging This is a great bait that is probably underutilized due to the packaging. I don't purchase this any longer but would love to if it was available in a tub. That should resolve the "distorted tail" problem encountered in the bag packaging. PLEASE supply this bait in a tub!

Rated 3 out of 5 by mdm1 from Don't buy it from berkley. Super slow shipping I bought this a month ago and still haven't received the whole order. In general I think you need to be careful about buying these in the baggies just because the tails get bent and they don't swim as accurately. I'll update my review once I finally get my completed order and get to test them out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JohnH from Please Read For all of these people saying the tails get destroyed, that's not necessarily true. You think the bait wont swim right when you slowly drag it around in the water but when youre fishing a jerk retrieve and you jerk the rod tip up that tail is going to vibrate and then the bait will fall back to the bottom motionless just like an injured baitfish... Anyways these are great baits and i've caught plenty of specks reds and flounder on them
