Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Absolute best for Big Game Bass fisherman! I had been looking for a braided line for bait casting reels with the "Old School" strength, durability, and flexibility of "Catgut". I had tried several other Berkley and other manufacturers' braids and some Kevlar lines, trying to match the performance of Berkley "Big Game" monofilament, but without the coiling memory hazard. A friend from the Gulf Coast area recommended that I try Gorilla Tough braid...the rest is history, I haven't used anything else since! Beating up on big Black Bass who try to hang me up in stumpy small lakes, rivers, and stock ponds have become my favorite pasttime!. They don't get away from the 'Rilla!

Rated 5 out of 5 by OFF THE LAND from 43" American Eel Gorilla battle!!! I'll never forget battling a 43" American Eel at 1:00a.m. July of 1995 on 30lb. Gorilla braid! One of the best memories of my life! Sometime that night someone must of stepped on the handle to my reel because it was broke. I told my friends, "No one touch this pole unless it gets molested". Big chub with steel leader on bottom. At 1:00a.m. my friend Chuck yells, "Mike your pole"! My rod was draped over a huge rock! Since my reel was broke we had to hand pole the fish in! Very tuff, had to both let go of the line every time he wanted to run! Gorilla tuff! Never will forget that night.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SouthernGuyReviews from Strong and Dependable Product you can count on! I used to go through fishing line like crazy before I found Berkley's Gorilla Tough fishing line. All the other line I was buying was either braking, being rubbed against rocks being cut or had to much memory and was curling up. I had a friend tell me "go buy some Gorilla line", At the time I had no idea what he was talking about. A few weeks later I was at Academy Sports and Outdoors (yes, I love Academy, a grown man's play ground!), I was in the fishing tackle area just browsing around when I seen Berkley's Gorilla fishing line. So, I tried it, I had GREAT success with this fishing line! Yes, if it rubs the rocks it gets a little frayed too. The Berkley Gorilla Tough 1/4 lb. Custom Spool 80/20-LB test/diameter or 0.019 inches thick Camo-green & white, Is 175 yards or 1/4 of a pound roll of 80lb test line with 20lb test line diameter Camo-green & White color braided line. The Berkley Gorilla Tough line has enhanced shock strength, long lasting, virtually no stretching. It glides through the reel and rod guides, does not snap when cast with heavy weights. I use this product and recommend it to anyone who needs strong, dependable fishing line. Berkley has done a great job with this fishing line, the Gorilla Tough line is difinitely one of my favorite fishing lines. SouthernGuyReviews gives it a 10 out of 10!

Rated 5 out of 5 by JBest from Absolutely Essential Bought 50 lb Gorilla line for a trip to the Amazon for big peacock bass and am I glad we had it. If your line survives the initial strike, peacocks go straight for submerged trees and any lesser line would have snapped. We broke and straightened hooks, but the Gorilla line held tough. This is an impressive fishing line -- flexible, easy to tie, small diameter (relatively), abrasion resistant and very tough.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Dukeofdeerwood from Time Tested I have been using Gorilla Braid for over 15 years and swear by it. The line on my reel now has been on there for 5 years. I'm on the water 100 days every year and usually fish Walleyes using my Gorilla Braid and a bottom bouncer with spinner. I am forever going over rock piles and rubble. This line wears like iron. You can keep all the "want-to-be's", I'll use my Gorilla Braid

Rated 4 out of 5 by Deepdiver97 from Good line Great strength, the only flaw is that the coating is squishy. It also frays and unravels after it is cut. I bought gorilla tough 35# braid 21.99 for 300yd and Stren Max cast 30# superline 9.99 for 150yd. The stren Max cast superline is far superior in everyway
