Rated 3 out of 5 by Joe12345678 from Not what I thought I ordered Although this is a great line spooler because I had one before, it is not what I expected. All the pictures show the line stripper with the spooler and unfortunately I got the one without the line stripper in error. I will admit that it was my error, however all the pictures and description are misleading. What upsets me is that I sent a line spooler exactly like this back to Berkeley for a replacement under warranty when I sent it back, I also included the line stripper. Berkeley send me a totally different replacement which did not include a line stripper and cost about half as much. At the end of the day I am a little to dissatisfied with Berkeley products now.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Jeffy from Does the job! I bought one of these last year to use in the U.P. of Michigan where I live 6 months of the year. It worked for what I wanted it for so well that I missed it when I got to Florida so I got another one and use it a lot. Not only do I use to add new line but also to transfer perfectly good line from a no longer functional reel to a different reel. It takes a while to load a lot of backing but I am retired and need the exercise.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Danny from OK for casting reels Works fine for casting reels. Works poorly on spinning reels and the directions for these aren't helpful. The thumbscrews tend to strip their threads unless delicately turned in not very snugly. Product is relatively expensive for its limited utility value as here described.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Cliett2nd from Piece of Junk Bought this so I could re-spool 6 reels and use the line I wanted, not the few options when you "take them in". Worked ok for the first two except the tension on the spool wasn't tight enough. On the third reel, the plastic holding the "spooling rod" snapped off. Now it's worthless. $20.00 plus dollars to re-spool two reels!!!!! Will not buy another Berkley product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Neal51 from Get what you paid for! I bought this a few weeks ago to save bringing all my reels in to get re-spooled. The bar that holds the spool broke the plastic piece that it fits poorly into. I ordered a new system, had to glue the spool arm in to keep it steady enough to use. Great design, just cheap material. I would not recommend.

Rated 3 out of 5 by fishwalton from Fair product This contraptions works but maintaining tension on the line spool seems to be a problem. I believe there are other products that would work better.

Rated 4 out of 5 by tony88 from I bought this spooling station at least 15 years ago. I have never has a problem with spooling bait casters or spinning reels. I actually spool friends reels because they know I have one. Total, I have probably spooled at least 500 reels. And mine did come with a line stripper but was more money.
