Rated 4 out of 5 by Cowboy from Fireline I've been using Fireline since it came on the market. I buy in 1500 yard spools to prevent waste. The line is usually tangle free, extremely strong and has excellent knot strength. The line is not very abrasion resistant and must be trimmed off when abrasion occurs or the knot strength becomes unacceptable. Bass fishing in Minnesota means fishing in heavy cover with bass above 5lb. common. With this combination, it's necessary for the line to be almost unbreakable and Fireline meets that requirement. No line is perfect, but new fireline is the closest thing to perfect that I've used.

Rated 4 out of 5 by bluefishbuster from Awesome Braid! I used to always be a mono person with surfcasting until I decided to start checking out different braided lines. Fireline has become my #1 choice due to its performance and very low memory. Other braided lines I've tried for the same price have more memory and can't cast as fast and far. I've been so amazed at home far I can cast a 1 ounce bucktail with the 10 pound test on a 7'6" rod. The only 1 complaint I have for Fireline is it not being as abrasion resistant as other braided lines I've used.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kritter from 20 years of Fireline What a great line! I have caught 6 + pound bass and 20+inch Brooke Trout on the 14 pound test Fireline. But my main bread and butter is the 6 pound test for my leader for Whitefish and Trout. I have put a lot of fish in the cooler never breaking one off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by fishboy from Crazy good! I originally started using the 8lb flame green Superline with a 3' flourocarbon leader (tied using a modified Albright knot) for walleye fishing. The flame green is extremely easy to see and allows you to see even the smallest walleye bites without feeling them (walleyes usually hit the lure on the fall when jigging). Since this line combo and technique has worked so well for the walleyes, I've since started using this same setup for bass fishing. The sensitivey is outstanding and the line strength is amazing. Highly recommended. Awesome product Berkley! Keep up the good work! FYI... For tying braid directly to the spool of a spinning reel, either use about a 6' mono leader tied directly to the spool or apply two wraps of electrical tape directly to the spool before tying your braid directly to the spool of you are not using a braid capable spinning reel. Either one of these methods will prevent the braid from slipping on the spool with a heavy drag set.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Muskie from You have to be kidding I brought their Fire line on a recent trip to Ontario Canada. Loaded 120 yards of 20# on my Shimano CU. Pulled on the line to set the drag. This line is so slippery that it sank into the base reel spool locking the real tight. No way to break it lose, the more you pull the deeper it digs. Impossible to remove except by sawing it off which will scratched up my reel. What a waste of time and money, very frustrated. will NEVER use this again. Maybe you have to soak it in paint thinner to get the coating off first?

Rated 5 out of 5 by busyfingersruth from Real Strong I use this product for beading and have been using it for about 8 years. It doesn't break like my other beading thread and doesn't tangle like the thread designed for beading. I use smoke and crystal and love them both. I hope you never discontinue it or change it. I recommend it to all my fellow beaders and about 80% of them are now using it. The best purchase is your 1100 yd spool and I have gone through about 4 of them so far.

Rated 4 out of 5 by beadLady from For the beaders out there.... Just an FYI... the formula for FireLine has been changed to make the line bio-degradable, which I think is great for the sports people out there! However, if you are a hard core beader, you may experience more breaking/fraying. Personally, I'll keep using it for the most part :o)
