Rated 5 out of 5 by Spincastman from First Musky on first time using Iron Silk!. Been reading a lot on different lines and decided to purchase Iron Silk for my zebco 33, getting 6lb test with a 6ft 12 lb flourocarbon leader on a med action rod throwing a fluke and got this 31 inch musky .First time catching a Musky and first time using Iron silk and I must say the 6 lb was superb and casted amazing well and fighting this fish was no problem on such lite line, I normally use 8lb test but the diameter of this line allows you to go smaller as I am a bank angler and need castability. This line works very well on a good spin cast reel as that is all I use and will put this line on all my reels , great product !!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Weld from Perfect Mono!!! Berkely did a fantastic job with this line!! I was fishing with the nano-fil line and was impressed by the casting distance but not much else, but the iron silk I love! Low memory! Long casting distance, even with a shorter length pole, abrasion resistance was incredible! I purposely tried to thrash the line and it took a beating well. Knot strength is better than any other mono I have used 10 out of 10 for this product'

Rated 5 out of 5 by Big Daddy NY from I'm very impressed ! I was very skeptical at first but was looking for something new, I have been an trilene XT believer for 20 + years (10 and 12lb) I spooled up the 12lb on 1 bait caster and 1 spinning reel, I think the 12 lb's diameter is much thinker than claimed looks and more like a 15 to 17 lb line, But after fishing this summer with it I am very impressed with it's Performance, Casting, Strength and Abrasion resistance qualities ! Again seems much thicker than the .013 dia. claimed, noticeably thicker than the XT 12lb. at .015 dia. BUT ! virtually no memory at at all, i pull fish through the thick weeds all day each and every weekend ! I will try the 10lb on my spinner and see if I like that better STRONG, EXCELLENT ABRASION RESISTANCE, VIRTUALLY NO MEMORY! Try some today you will surely agree!

Rated 5 out of 5 by ChopperBlues from The Ultimate Mono! I was looking for a 6 pound mono line that was strong and abrasion resistant. Any Sufix line I'd go through easily. Once I put 6 pound Ironsilk onto my Battle II 2500 and started fishing ponds and streams with it, I became obsessed with it! I even put its abrasion resistance to the test one day recently. I was casting a lure from shore with many trees around me. The wind blew line over a branch and also got the lure stuck on a limb in the water. As I kept yanking the rod to get the lure free, the line was rubbing hard on the branch. The lure finally came off and the line never snapped even though it showed some abrasion from the constant hard rubbing. I also put 14 pound test on a Fierce 4000 for surfcasting. Casts like braid and easily sets the hook with no memory.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Polishpicl from Impressed Only used this recently and was pleasantly surprised. I use the Nano type of line, and am VERY please with that. This was equal to that line but have not checked for stength as of yet. Havent had a chance to check knot strength, but DID find that knotss are very to tie with this line, just like Nano.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Captnickocmd from Smooth and strong We have been using iron silk on our charter boat "Get Sum" for flounder and other various inshore species for 2 years now. We have tried many other types of line over the years and this is by far the best. It is strong and abrasion resistant. It has little memory and ties very easily. I only wish it was available in larger spools.
