Tip #1 Change your line and change it often.  Fishing line is the sole connection between you and the fish and it is of the utmost importance that the line is fresh and strong.

Tip #2 Match the hatch with regards to picking the right swimbait for the right situation.  The size of the swimbait is not nearly as important as making sure the swimbait matches the forage the fish are feeding on.
