Tips:
Match baits and lures to prevailing natural feed. Berkley Gulp! baits have proven to out-produce live baits on my charterboat, WaveWalker. They will do the same for you. I fish 5” Gulp! Jerk Shad baits for near-surface bass bites and hand-poured Powerbait swimbaits when fish are biting deeper in the water column. Twenty pound test Berkley Spiderwire helps my passengers pull fish from deep cover. Twelve pound test Trilene 100% professional grade fluorocarbon line attracts spooky fish in open water. Fish-catching power of most lures can be increased by rigging a Gulp! bait on the hook. Final tip… fish with a professional captain at least a few times per year to keep your learning curve aimed upward.
