I’ve purchased a 10lb braided line at walmart couple of weeks ago, and this incident happened at least 4 times where I would set the hook on a freshwater drum or a giant smallmouth, the line would snap. The reason I wanted to checkout this line was the convenience of it, where you can just go to Walmart ang grab one. But due to its unreliability, I may have to go back to my old braided company, Kastking. Don’t get me wrong, I love th Berkeley Rods, I even own 2 of them, but I guess, they need to do better on their braided lines. P.S. one good thing I can say about this particular line is it casts very smoothly.

Do not be afraid of the low price.
I had some bad experiences with the more expensive braids. I was talking to a fellow fisherman who said that he used the cheapest braid of his preferred brand of line. I thought I'm a Berkley xl smooth cast guy so in July I picked up a roll of 50lb solutions braid, spooled it up on a casting reel and have not had any trouble with it all. 5 months later its holding its color good and cast better than ever. The area I live in the weather was in the mid 90s in July and the last time I was out in December it was upper 30s low 40s with no problem.

Awesome Product
Bought this product (30 lbs.test) to replaced my old braided line to use last weekend for my camping/fishing get away. I was a little doubtful about it because it was thin and have a little to no stretch. I’ve caught a two 28 inches red drums and between 15-19 inches flounder total of 4. the line really held up pretty well, very smooth upon casting and very limited on line twisting. I definitely recommend this product and I will pick up a few more on different sizes to replace most of my lines. Another great product from Berkley.

Great to sew taxidermy skins
I use this braid for sewing skins up on manikins. Easy to pull the seams tight, great “stuff”.

Spinning reels do NOT like braid per se...
I got a spool of the 10lb Solutions braid and my spinner is not kind to it. I believe spinners by nature tend to twist line and there-in lies the problem. I took it off and re-spooled it on my Abu Garcia and casts like a dream. This is my 3rd same issue with different braids on spinners. Great line for casters and conventional reels but not good on spinning reels.

Horrible
Went to my local Walmart and bought some of this in 20lb for my casting reel. I cant even tie a lure on and pull the line snug without it breaking. I love berkley products but this is by far the worst I have ever had!
