Two old hippies, bedell guitars, & little kids rock invite you to the first annual Rock'n & Reel'n Celebrity Fishing Tournament and Benefit this July in Nashville, in conjunction with Summer NAMM. You'll have the opportunity to be paired with some of the most well-know fishing pros in the bass fishing industry including legendary, 2 time Bassmaster champion, Hank Parker, long-time, highly decorated veterans Larry Nixon and Paul Elias, and rising professional bass fisherman and country recording artist, Casey Ashley, as well as other notable country artists, NAMM attendees, and caring music lovers, all for the cause of keeping music in public schools.
Proceeds will benefit the Two Old Hippies Fund, a component fund of The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee. This fund has identified Little Kids Rock as its initial grantmaking priority. Little Kids Rock is a national nonprofit that transforms children's lives by restoring and revitalizing music in public schools with economically disadvantaged kids. Little Kids Rock partners with school districts, provides training to public school teachers, and donates all the instruments and resources necessary for their music programs. Currently, 3,500 Nashville area students participate in the Little Kids
Rock program. The goal of Rock'n & Reel'n is to create resources to double the program in 2012, reaching over 7,000 students.
Rock'n & Reel'n will open with an evening meet-and-greet reception Monday, July 9 at Nashville's Sambuca in The Gulch. A bass fishing tournament will be held July 10 on Old Hickory Lake on the Cumberland River just northeast of Nashville. A gala dinner and concert will follow at the Wildhorse Saloon featuring John Oates, Gary Morris, Casey
Ashley and some of Nashville's finest.
