As a certified swimbait addict I’ve fished the top of the line Japanese and domestic swimbaits and truly this is well done and the new stinger harness is ingenious

With ice just starting to leave the shores of Lake Erie I tried for Pike yesterday. The Chop Block is impressively engineered for a fishing lure. It did a nice imitation of a dying shad when twitched. What didn't work well was the tail fluttering on a straight retrieve. I tried several different retrieve speeds and still could not get a detectable tail wag. Maybe the icy water had stiffened the soft plastic. I am hopeful for warmer weather making both the pike and the lure more responsive.
