  • Ultra Strong and Thin - Our highest strength-per-diameter mono - wet or dry
  • Ultra Sensitive - Super sensitivity for detecting light bites
  • Smooth Control - Low memory for outstanding castability and handling
  • Available in Blaze Orange and Solar colors for extra-high visibility
Professional grade Trilene Sensation has been trusted by our Berkley pro staff for more than a decade. With extreme strength-per-diameter, it is still flexible and manageable. This strength allows us to make it in smaller diameters for better lure action and cast ability. The breakthrough multi-polymer nylon formula has less stretch and holds more of its strength when wet compared to other nylon monos for sensitivity and control.

Trilene Sensation is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 50.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bad Batch? I will always be a Berkley customer however, this line through me for a LOOP ( sorry for the pun) As it went on my Garcia reel I was feeling bumps and twists in my fingers to keep tension on the loading spool. ( hmmm) Sure enough on cast #1 it fouled ( mind you I do not over-load my spool with line) next cast with a heavier spoon LOOPS galore! The line was acting like it had a memory and would even foul the top eye of my rod. MAYBE this line has a shelf-life and it was sitting around the store too long. NOT THE USUAL BERKELY QUALITY I have come to know and rely on for sure.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Pleased and Disappointed I've been using Sensation for a few years due to its qualities that really do exist according to Berkley. However, I've discovered that when the line is exposed to at least one day of fishing in the sun, the line prematurely weakens. I was wondering why my knots would break on testing before use. I would have to tie the knot 5x before I got a knot that wouldn't break. After spooling new Sensation line I wouldn't have an issue until after the first day in the sun. Then I had to remove large amount of line so I would be able to get a strong knot. I never had this problem with trilene XT or XL.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great diameter to strength ratio I'm on my second season fishing 10lb sensation. For the diameter, which is smaller than most other 10lb tests on the market, the strength is surprisingly good, better than most of the thicker diameter 10lb tests I've tried. Important, especially if you fish cold weather, one thing you NEED TO DO after filling your spool with this line is to take the reverse line twist out. I've done this with every mono line I've ever fished and it solves most issues. Once the line is on your reel and rod, simply have a helper hold the end of the line and walk away until at least 2/3rds of the line have been pulled out. Now grip your spool so it will not spin and have the helper give a long steady pull on the line to stretch it out. Afterwards, have him lay the line down and then you reel it in gently while pinching it with your other hand just above the reel to keep an even tension on it. Any and all twists should be gone now and you should have a trouble free smooth casting line ready to hook fish after fish.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Line Ever This line holds a knot very well, the strength to diameter ratio is superb. Those of you who are having casting problems (line memory) are putting too much line on your spool. Don't overfill your spool and you will do much better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I have been using sensation for years and it is my favorite mono line. I do a lot of smallmouth fishing and I have no complaints . I have never had line memory problems like I have read about . For me it will continue to be my mono of choice.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great tensile strength I haven't had the issue of line memory the other people have stated. Even on last years spool. Had to have a rod replaced by pflueger because of this line. Make sure to follow the video Berkley has on line replacement and good fishing to all

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Who else is here because of NDYakAngler ? I tried this line after becoming disenchanted with another brand of Flourocarbon line as a leader to braid, too many knot failures. NDYakAngler lands pig Smallmouth on rivers and uses 10lb. Sensation so I ordered a spool. I am very pleased with this line, knot strength, sensitivity, diameter, and durability are all on point. I also have a spinning real spooled completely with this line for river cats and have had no issues with memory, and it cast a country mile. No more flouro for me.
