    Berkley braided line

    Seams to be a replacement for nanofil which is no longer made. Was very pleased with the performance and castability caught several fish over 3 lbs held up well. Have since bought another spool for another reel

    Went out jigging for walleye really like the line the sensitivity was really good could feel the bite easily so far really liking this line

    Fish on!

    Gives me high visibility to detect even the lightest strikes. Paired with Berkeley flourocarbon leader the fish don't have a chance!

    GOOD AT FIRST!

    I bought this fishing line at a fishing show because the salesman talked me into this new technology line. I used it on some casual fishing days and really liked the castability of it. It was nice and smooth and would cast a mile. I bought 3 more spools of it to spool on 4-5 rods I was taking to our yearly Canada fishing trip. We fish lakes up there that most guys wont put the effort into getting to, with small row boats carrying our gear and boat sometimes up to 100 yards to get to these lakes. The reason is.. is we catch sooo many pike and walleye its just plain ridiculous... 100 plus fish a day on some of those lakes and we fish all day.. NO LIE. So I cast ALOT! Well to say I am disappointed is an understatement. I use quality ball bearing swivels... no leader what so ever throwing spinner baits and spoons.. The line twist that I delt with all week was nuts..at least once a day I had to strip 20 feet of line and re-tie, the line twist was so bad. We have been going to Canada on this fishing trip for over 10 years with all different kinds of braid and have never had one perform so badly as this line. Will not buy again and do not recommend.

    Snarls Easily

    I do not recommend this line for spinning reels. The 8 lb. test line has great casting distance, but a boatload of memory. The box states "optimized for spinning reels," so I used it on a spinning reel. The line snarled frequently and significantly. The birdsnest snarls had to be cut. I tested it against another less expensive brand, and the other brand worked well. I contacted Berkley regarding a warranty on this braid line but received no response. I give Forward Braid two stars for casting distance only.
