Used these in lieu of live bait on a remote Northern MN lake for bluegill and crappie. They also took some incidental bass, SM and LM. Was using them naked on a 1/32 oz jig/bobber, and also behind a bubble on a #16 fly hook at sundown. They worked as well as live bait under a bobber (kid rigged). Going forward I would use a baitholder style hook as they got knocked off pretty easily. Only complaint is the jar leaks nasty smelling juice all over the place if not kept upright.
