    Deadly on small rivers

    I use these on a micro-jig setup with a 4-weight fly rod while floating lazy rivers in a belly boat. Cast to the bank and retrieve low and slow. Everything big enough to get them in their mouth eats them, especially panfish, bass and catfish. Beware: I've seen some of these baits turn soft and basically fall apart and others with their tails folded back in the package that never swim properly. Also, short strikers sometimes take off the tail and render them useless. But the best of the lot are deadly. I've even seen spawning trout take them after ignoring multiple conventional flies and nymphs.

    Deadly swim baits on many species, just need to be more durable.

    We go through many bags of these minnow grubs every season and they catch everything. Unfortunately the tails are too fragile and many species can bite the tail right off. Otherwise I'd give them a five star rating.

    Great Bait

    I use them drop shot staple with three in my setup for inshore saltwater for cod/polluvk/cunner and the work extremely. I really like their visibility and taste to fish.
