Scale reads Lo when battery changed

Rating should be 0 but they don’t give that as an option!! I had the same issue as multiple other reviewers. Batteries appeared dead so I changed. I took 6 x 2032 🔋 out of packing and go the “Lo” reading and scale turned off. I bought this scale in July for Canada walleye/pike trip and used like 3x. Went to try and way Botha BIG crappie and LMB when this issue occurred. NO MORE BERKLEY scales as this is the 2nd one I’ve had to discard! SHAME ON YOU BERKLEY!

    Another Clip Failure

Bought one of these and the 2nd time I used it the clip broke off. I emailed Customer Service asking to purchase a replacement clip. They replied they did not offer replacement clips, but asked for a photo of the failure and purchase information to review. I replied with a photo and the requested information. I have no idea why they made the request because I have heard nothing back from them, and it has been nearly a month. I can’t estimate the amount of money I have spent on Berkley products over 50 years of fishing, but I now refuse to purchase anything by Berkley. I will not spend my money with a company that apparently cares nothing about customer satisfaction.

Fish grip clip has broken twice

Have bought two of these scales and the plastic clip that holds the fish broke in the same place on both scales. Other than that scale appears to work good. I checked the weight accuracy with a known 5 lbs weight. It was spot on. I bought the first scale and figured I did something to break it. So I bought another. Was meticulously careful with it. When it broke in exactly the same place I knew it wasn’t my fault. Just sayin. I would spend a little more maybe and get a different scale. We just use my fishing partners scale now.

Thank you for your detailed feedback and for giving our scales a try. I’m sorry to hear the clip broke on both units — that’s definitely not the quality we aim for. I’ll be sure to pass your comments along to our product team for review.

We’re sorry to hear about the trouble with your scale, especially since it was a gift. Low battery warnings and inaccurate readings shouldn’t be happening—thank you for bringing this to our attention. If you’re open to it, we’d like to help make it right. Just email us the model number and we’ll take it from there.
