Cheap at local shop
Upgrading from berkleys ultralight trout rod , so far this is much better for bass fishing and feels super accurate. Best bang for your buck I think you will ever get

7 ft. casting
Product description is misleading: both 5 1/2 ft. and 7 ft. rods are labeled as "medium" and carry the same ratings for lure and line weights. 5 1/2 ft. casts a 4/8 oz. lure beautifully, the 7 ft. not. 7 ft. much stiffer.

Catfish Cruncher
Folks, this casting rod fits right in with my adventure of chasing catfish. It was a perfect fit with the bait casting reel. I filled it with 20-pound test Spider Wire and 17-pound test Fluorocarbon leader. The rod was tough enough to drag larger catfish lout of their hiding places. The rod was able to cast a collection of live bait fish, cut bait fish and prepared dip baits. The rod is perfect to cast artificial baits to bass in heavy vegetation . The rod tip is sensitive enough to feel plastic worm lures, yet powerful enough to cast hard baits!
