Still the toughest
Used several different brands of monofilament down through the years big game is the one you want in the thick stuff or slop tough line !

New top shots all around
I go on about 4 long range (7+days) a year. I usually do not have a preference on which line I use. But on a trip early this year I was stressing my equipment for example 80# yellow fin tuna on 30# line. I was losing more fish than I should. The captain saw my frustration, looked at my equipment, took two of my reels, stripped the mono top shots and replaced the line with Trilene. I could actually feel the difference first with the ease of tying knots, then the feel of the live bait and the fighting the tuna. When I got home I replaced all the top shots on all my reels with Trilene.
