Completely useless. No where near enough RPMs. Motor doesn't even turn the blades fast enough for them to do their job. Not enough torq when under load and there is a dry (no grease or other lubricant) sound coming from the mechanism where the blades attach. Very unhappy and went back to using my fixed blade fillet knife after only 5 minutes of trying to get one side of one catfish filleted. Wouldn't recommend this waist of $ to my worst enemy. Everything I have said isn't just me throwing a fit. It is my most honest opinion as well as the unfortunate truth..........

I bought one from a reputable local bait shop. I took it home to fillet some crappie. I had problems with it right away. The motor kept slowing down to the point where it was hardly moving. I tried holding the trigger in different places, it just kept dieing off to the point that it was starting to smell like a burnt motor. Needless to say that I'm not very pleased with the Berkley company. I had to get out the old Rapala that I've had for 10 plus years.
