    No. 4 Money Badger

The Money Badger is one of the best cold water crankbaits on market. Berkley hit a home run with this one!!!!!

My go to lure and best diving bait for trolling during 2024 season.

I fished the Money Badger in central Indiana and in Ontario, Canada last season and caught huge crappie, walleye, pike, smallmouth bass, wipers, and largemouth bass. Almost all of my fishing was done by trolling and the Money Badger runs true to the advertised depth of about 12 feet depending on the trolling speed. I have a 14-foot Smoker Craft with a 6-horse power Evinrude and the combination is deadly for varying trolling speeds to run deep or medium depths. There were times when only the Money Badger hooked anything and it was up against my second favorite lure, the Flicker Shad!

This my go to crank bait . I’ve caught more fish on this bait than any other bait. I treat like a square bill to a medium deep crank bait. I always have this tied on

    Nothing yet..

Have trolled various colors of #5 for trout where flicker shad produces on a regular basis, and no luck yet in spite of great action similar to other cranks that catch fish. Disappointing given the apparent positives..

Thanks for the feedback. Sorry to hear the #5 hasn’t produced for you despite its strong action. Conditions can definitely be tricky—if you’re open to it, we’d love to hear more about your setup and location to offer some tips or color suggestions that might turn things around. You can send us a email at support@berkley-fishing.com.
