    I LOVE this combo!

This is beginner friendly but Berkley would be wise to include basic instructions on how to set drag & get best performance from reel. Ive been fishing a lot but struggled getting drag right & reel to lock. I got help from an old timer & have caught several really BIG cats since then. So i suppose negative reviews might be user errors? Maybe? Drag too tight then line will break easier. I chose this for the 20# test line.Im lovin mine now & plan to buy another one soon because i fish a LOT these days.

    Broken pole

Cast this rod one time, hooked a lake sturgeon and the pole broke a little above the joint. The fish was not a large fish
